What is your sports/fitness background? I used to swim competitively, do triathlons, now I am enjoying doing CrossFit and can’t wait to get back on my bike and ride as soon as it gets a little warmer. I will also start running a bit more.
What are your fitness goals? To continue to get in better shape, gain more strength, learn to do things that I haven’t been able to accomplish yet, ie: double-unders, pull-ups and there are so many more I can’t list them all and to remain injury free. Also I need to do a better job of managing my weight because that can help me accomplish some things with less challenges.
What do you see as your greatest improvement? Learning how to do Olympic weight lifting, when I had never planned on learning. I’ve still got a long way to go on my skills and experience, but feel that I have gained a lot of strength
What is your favorite and least favorite workout? My favorite is probably stretching! My favorite workouts would include weight lifting. My least favorite workout includes something that has burpees (but I am liking them more), inchworms or crabwalks
How has your experience at EC Health and Fitness affected your life? I’ve met a lot of great athletes, made friends and work with coaches that care about your whole person, not just a part of you
What’s your favorite ECHF memory so far? Being able to get my foot in the band/s and not “sling shooting” across the room. Looking back when I started with Jamie, learning all of the acronyms/abbreviations etc and then her quizzing me on them, and I would have to ask her for clues before I could answer. I’m sure she had to be thinking, where did this girl come from?! I wonder myself. All we could do was laugh. I can get most of them now. Occasionally might have a question or two, but so much better.
