What is your sports/fitness background?
I’ve been exercising all my life in a home gym environment with weights. I’ve also used Insanity and P90x but somewhat ineffectively.
What are your fitness goals?
My starting goal was simply to maintain good health and mobility. With PCR I find myself surpassing my expectations and surprising myself. As a result I need to set more aggressive fitness goals.
What do you see as your greatest improvement?
Mobility and range of motion has been my greatest improvement. I’m able to perform movements that I could not perform when I started, the overhead squat in particular.
What is your favorite and least favorite workout?
I enjoy all the Olympic weightlifting moves. Running continues to be my least favorite exercise.
How has your experience at CrossFit PCR affected your life?
I really enjoy the supportive yet competitive atmosphere that has effectively pushed me far beyond where I would have gone on my own. I’ve gained confidence in my fitness potential.
What’s your favorite PCR memory so far?
I enjoyed Murph on Memorial Day. Almost everyone was there and so supportive. Personally I was surprised that I was able to finish and performed as well as I did.
