What is your sports/fitness background?
I played baseball until I was 25 along with softball til my late 30s. I have finished 10 triathlons. I have attempted 3 swims across the Chesapeake Bay and completed 2 of them. I had to be rescued once along with 95% of the other swimmers. I completed 1 marathon and hundreds of 5K and 10K races. And now as I have gotten older, golf. I play as much golf as possible.

What are your fitness goals?
To get in better shape, stronger and lose some weight; but the dieting for me is harder than the workouts because I love all the bad for you foods. I hope to hit a 300 yard drive some day. One functional thing I have seen improvement in is my distances with the golf clubs.

What do you see as your greatest improvement?
Weight lifting in general. I was a Cardio person, I rarely lifted weights. I have seen many PRs over the years which means I am getting stronger and more fit.

What is your favorite and least favorite workout?
My favorite individual exercise would have to be burpees, I set a goal of 100 a day for January Challenge and will finish with 3,100. My favorite workouts are chippers (Filthy Fifty, etc) I don’t always finish but I love the difficulty of them. Over Head Squats would be my least favorite.

How has your experience at EC Health and Fitness affected your life?
My experience with EC Health and Fitness has been great, the coaches have provided excellent training and keep me from injuring myself. The worksouts and strength training has been challenging, and this has all created a stronger, healthier, and better me.

What’s your favorite ECHF memory so far?
There are many but they seem to all involve the same thing: the atmosphere of helping and encouraging from the other members and coaches. I try to reciprocate by cheering and encouraging others on as well. But I have to say most recently killing the “Burpee Challenge” this January has been a highlight.

Awesome, I am really glad I found the program. The whole CrossFit experience has been terrific.
