What is your sports/fitness background?
I spent my childhood in the water. I learned to water ski at the age of four and my parents were convinced that I would grow gills. I played softball for twenty years. As an adult, I have wasted a lot of money on gym memberships because I would get bored and stop going.

What are your fitness goals?
I started with modest and vague goals. First and foremost, my goal was to survive the New You 6 week class,  heal my couch-potatoitis, and gain strength.  6 months later I am constantly pushing for new PRs.

What do you see as your greatest improvement?
My overall physical strength has improved dramatically and keeps me excited for each workout. There is no better feeling than feeling strong

What is your favorite and least favorite workout?
Any time Jamie says,  “you want to find you heaviest weight”, I get excited.  Anytime there is a workout that has a number followed by a lower case “m”, I get a little sad.

How has your experience at CrossFit PCR affected your life?
The effects have surpassed my wildest dreams. I wanted to get stronger and improve my posture but the strength and power that I have gained has infused every facet of my life.

What’s your favorite PCR memory so far?
We had a workout a couple of weeks ago that was all lifting. I think everyone in the box broke at least one PR. The energy and support for each other was awesome.

In 1 word, summarize your PCR experience.
I need two words but I will cheat and hyphenate.  Life-changing.

** on a personal note,  I learn something new at every workout. Jamie’s knowledge and patience has really inspired me to put in the work. Being a part of this box saved me from physical, mental and emotional deterioration it really is life affirming.  It’s not really hyperbole to say PCR saved my life.
