What is your sports/fitness background?
My love for sports started sometime in 6th or 7th grade when I started playing Table-Tennis( ping-pong), I played Table-Tennis at school, university and also at a state-level. I have also enjoyed competing in Badminton and Tennis tournaments at a local level. However, I have to admit that I never combined sports and fitness together which in the hindsight would have helped me progress a great deal in my tournaments.
What are your fitness goals?
I remember those couple of years after I had my son in 2014 that I struggled to make it through the day, my energy levels were low, I did not feel good or confident about my body. Now one year into Crossfit I see the difference, and my goal is to stay healthy and spend some good quality and energetic time with my family.
What do you see as your greatest improvement?
Apart from seeing myself physically fit in the past one year, I would say my greatest improvement has been in my confidence level. I can manage a 16 hr day effortlessly and have also learned to exercise effectively during my crazy travel schedule.
What is your favorite and least favorite workout?
I love all types of strength workout back squat, front squat.. you name it, I had never lifted weights before I joined Crossfit and now I just love doing that. Hmm.. least favorite, easy to guess.. Burpees!!
How has your experience at EC Health and Fitness affected your life?
EC Health and Fitness has become part of my daily routine, as I do my daily activities I feel incomplete without a WOD! Doing a 5:30 class helps boosts my confidence first thing in the morning and it sets a positive tone for the rest of the day.
What’s your favorite ECHF memory so far?
Every workout is fun at ECHF, even at 5:30 am we are a bunch of hyper-energetic folks. My best memory was the surprise was wearing the “5:30 crew” t-shirt and throwing a surprise to Bronson :).
